Costs & Financial Assistance

We know you want the best care for your loved one, and that shouldn’t come with a high price tag. As a nonprofit organization, Lakeshore Assisted Living offers more affordable costs to seniors while still maintaining the highest standard of quality care. There are many options to pay for care, from private pay to government aid.

Private Pay & Insurance Information

As a state-licensed assisted living facility, we accept private pay. However, we understand the financial obstacles that may arise along the way. If you have secured a long-term care insurance policy, please contact your carrier for details about your coverage.

Financial Aid Resources

There are several other financial assistance programs available in Michigan, including Veteran’s Benefits.

The Aid and Attendance Pension for veterans and their surviving spouses provides monthly assistance to eligible seniors who require assisted living services. Visit Veteranaid.org or aidandattendance.com for more information on eligibility and how to apply.

The Lifetime Promise

As part of its mission, Lakeshore Assisted Living offers The Lifetime Promise that provides reduced costs to qualified residents based on their individual monthly income. This program is entirely confidential, and assures that a resident will remain in the community with an equal level of care and never be asked to leave due to personal financial circumstances. If you would like more information about this program, read our Lifetime Promise Informational Sheet.
